Nusa Lembongan

#1 Nusa Lembongan Is A Real Escape

Arriving in Nusa Lembongan is like an immediate relaxant. It can easily feel like your worlds away, a perfect time to have a break from technology and enjoy the present moment.

#2 It’s Beautiful

The natural beauty of Nusa Lembongan is stunning, I guess because there dis less tourists and less over-development. The green jungle like areas, the little beaches spread around the island…

#3 Its Authentic

Real People. Community. Doing jobs based on their surroundings… cutting up coconuts, gathering seaweed, cooking fish.

Following on from #3, the tourist levels significantly decrease on Nusa Lembongan. Of course there are tourists around, but in one day we started recognising tourists. People we saw at the beach were also later at the same bar watching sunset. It’s a refreshing change.

#5 It’s Only 30 Minutes By Boat From Bali

If you want to go, it’s pretty easy to get to. A 30 minute boat ride from Sanur and you’re here!

#6 It Shows A Completely Different Side To Bali

Bali is commonly stereotyped as being touristy, a place to party and not exactly your ideal paradise. And in places like Kuta thats pretty much true. But, Bali has so many other sides, and on Nusa Lembongan you will see a dramatically different one. Peace. Quiet. Nature. Beauty.

#7 It’s The Perfect Place To Try Out A Scooter

I’ve always intended on doing the scooter thing, but then I get to a place and decide I’d rather not get to know the local hospital. Nusa Lembongan was different. Besides from the fact it’s the best way to explore the island, without many other transport options, there was very little traffic. Almost none. The occasional scooter. The occasional mini truck. So I actually felt comfortable to get a scooter, and the freedom was amazing. Stopping off wherever looked nice or interesting (Keep in mind that if you don’t ride a scooter at home, you are putting yourself at risk by hiring a scooter and you won’t be covered for scooter related incidents with travel insurance).

Sunny Thursday

"Black as the devil, hot as hell, pure as an angel, sweet as love. "Coffee Time"

There is no question about it. Bali’s custom-built motorcycle scene is booming. And while the best-known brand of made-to-measure bikes on the island may currently be Deus Ex Machina, it is by no means the only option. Here are a number of other workshops ready to breathe new life into your engine.

This 1982 Kawasaki Binter chopper has been turning some heads lately.
Maybe that’s because nobody expects to see a moose in Bali.
(Note: The Moose Espresso Bar is on Jl Batu Belig, not far from the stone gates at the Petitenget intersection and it’s guaranteed to be one of your new favorite hangouts.  While there, have a look at the examples industrial art and lighting created for The Moose by Island Motorcycles.)

Casual Friday

TGIF.

Keep it casual today- nice watch, unbutton a few, and grab a cold brew.

Some of my favorite places to relax are just inside the city in the Arts District.  If you’ve been following and reading along with us for some time, you know it all started here.  We’ve made great friends with the owners and employees in the community, and truly feel like a second home. Thanks to my partner for always keeping it real.. throwback to the Handsome days!

Have a great weekend guys, and as always,"Cheers"

When seeing opportunity, act upon it

Every man’s mind dreams up millions of ideas every single day. It is our most valuable tool in life. We are walking in our acres of diamonds when it comes to our ideas. However, you must stop wasting them. When you come up with the one you believe can be great, make it a reality. If it means speaking up, make your words heard. If it means taking action, by all means run with the wind.
